After landing, the easiest route to your driver depends on the service you booked. The taxi rank, ride-app zone, short-stay forecourt and a private meeting point serve different trips at BER. Agree on the meeting point before flying.
Step 1: collect bags and orient yourself on E0
Terminal 1 baggage claim and the arrivals hall are on level E0. Once in the public arrivals area, check the exit or landmark stated in your booking confirmation. Terminal 2 is a short walk from T1; your specific booking instructions still govern the pickup.
Step 2: distinguish pickup types
For an unbooked taxi, BER lists the official north and south ranks outside T1 on E0. Certain app-booked rides use a separate Ride App Pick Up zone on arrivals level. Private transfers agree on an individual meeting point, for example in arrivals or at an authorized forecourt. Do not head to the taxi rank automatically if you booked another service.
Step 3: communicate if delayed
Flight delays, baggage waits or a weak mobile connection can change the timing. Save your booking number and contact method offline before departure. Report significant delays when you can and check the agreed waiting-time terms. Share your exact level, exit and a visible landmark if necessary.
Before you get in
- Confirm the driver's name and destination.
- Check the vehicle details in your booking.
- Contact the provider through the official booking channel if unsure.
- Do not follow an unknown driver based only on a verbal approach.
