Looking for an airport taxi in Berlin? Flughafentransfer Berlin is an online booking platform for private airport transfers to and from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Enter your route, see the fixed price before you book and your driver meets you at the agreed address or at the airport. The transport is carried out by external, licensed providers – we are not a taxi company.
On arrival at BER you can take a metered taxi from the rank, or you can book a private transfer in advance. Both get you into the city, but they work differently. A street taxi is spontaneous and priced by the meter, so the final fare depends on traffic and time. A pre-booked transfer has a price that is shown and agreed before you book, and a driver assigned specifically to your booking who waits at the meeting point with a name sign.
You enter your pickup and destination address, date and time, and choose from the available vehicle classes. The total price for that route is displayed before you confirm. After booking you receive a confirmation with the driver details and the meeting point. Enter your flight number so an airport pickup can follow your actual landing time.
If you are searching for a taxi from BER into Berlin, a pre-booked pickup is a plannable alternative: the driver waits in the arrivals area, and up to 60 minutes of waiting time from the actual arrival are included. See how the BER airport pickup works and where the driver waits.
For the trip to the airport, the driver collects you at your hotel, apartment or business address at the agreed time and brings you to the correct BER terminal. Because the price is fixed in advance, an early departure or heavy traffic does not change what you pay. For the full route overview see Berlin airport transfer.
Neither option is always cheaper – it depends on route, time and group size. A metered taxi is available on the spot without planning. A pre-booked transfer gives you a price known before booking, a driver waiting at the agreed address, and vehicle classes for larger groups and luggage. Check the actual price for your route in the booking form.
For families and groups, one vehicle keeps everyone together. Vans and minibuses cover larger parties with luggage – see the Berlin airport minibus for groups. The available capacity is shown during booking.
Berlin is spread across many districts. The best option depends on your exact destination, group size, luggage and how much changing or walking you are comfortable with.
| Option | Price | Journey | Luggage | Useful for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked transfer Direct | Total price and booking conditions are shown before confirmation. | Door to door to the address entered during booking. | Capacity depends on the vehicle class selected. | Families, groups, business travellers and guests with several bags. |
| Taxi from the rank | The final fare generally depends on the applicable taxi tariff and journey. | Direct, with the vehicle taken on arrival. | Depends on the vehicle available at the rank. | Spontaneous journeys when no advance booking is needed. |
| Public transport | Ticket-based; the required ticket depends on the journey. | May involve walking or changes depending on the destination. | You carry and supervise your own luggage. | Solo travellers and visitors travelling light. |
“Berlin centre” can mean very different places. Enter the complete hotel or apartment address, including postcode, rather than only the district name.
Keep your flight number, accommodation address and a reachable mobile number ready. After landing, follow the meeting-point instructions in your booking confirmation.
Good to know: Journey times in Berlin can vary with traffic, time of day and the exact district. If you are travelling to BER for a flight, allow an appropriate buffer in addition to the journey time shown during planning.
