From BER to the capital of Saxony without changes: the private transfer takes you straight to your hotel, company, trade fair or apartment in Dresden. Many international visitors fly into Berlin because Dresden Airport has only a handful of direct connections – with the transfer, the trip becomes a door-to-door journey. You book online, see the fixed price before you confirm and your driver waits at the terminal.
The route is straightforward: from BER on the A113 to the Schönefeld interchange, then straight south on the A13 as far as the Dresden-Nord junction, and from there on the A4 into the city. Allow about two hours for roughly 190 kilometres in normal traffic. Parts of the A13 have only two lanes; on holiday weekends and around roadworks a buffer is worthwhile, especially on the way back to BER.
Travel times are estimates for normal traffic. For the return trip to BER, allow extra time for congestion, check-in and security.
Dresden lies on the Elbe and is the state capital of Saxony. The Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, the Semperoper and the Royal Palace with the Green Vault make the old town one of the most visited destinations in Germany. The city is also home to the Technical University, semiconductor plants in the north and the Messe Dresden exhibition centre. Meissen, Radebeul and Saxon Switzerland can be reached directly by transfer as well.

By train you first travel from BER to Berlin Central Station and change there for Dresden. With suitcases, children or after a night flight, the private transfer with no changes is far more relaxed – and you arrive at your hotel, not at a station.
Which option is cheaper depends on the number of passengers, vehicle class and time of travel. Several travellers share one vehicle price – check the actual total directly in the booking form.
Straight from the airport to your hotel by the old town: ideal for Semperoper visitors, the Striezelmarkt Christmas market or a weekend in “Florence on the Elbe” – even with lots of luggage.
Appointments at semiconductor companies, the university or Messe Dresden, plus teams and tour groups of up to 19 – one vehicle, one price.
The transfer can be booked in both directions: from BER to Dresden and from Dresden back to the airport. Simply enter your pick-up and drop-off address in the booking form – hotel, company, trade fair or apartment. Outbound and return are booked as two separate rides.
Enter your flight number when booking so the pick-up follows your actual landing time. The exact meeting point is in your booking confirmation; the driver usually waits with a name sign in the arrivals hall. The included waiting time follows the conditions shown at booking. You can check the current flight status directly with the airport: Check live flight status at BER.
