For western Poland, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is often the nearest major airport. The private transfer takes you across the border without changes, right to your door in Poznań, Szczecin or Świnoujście, with a fixed price before booking and a driver at the terminal. Here are the routes, travel times and what you need to know for the trip to Poland.

Szczecin: approx. 150 km, 1 h 45 min

The capital of West Pomerania is closer to BER than to any major Polish airport. The drive follows the A10 and A11 to the Pomellen/Kołbaskowo border crossing and the toll-free A6 into Szczecin.

Poznań: approx. 270 km, 2 h 50 min

The trade fair and university city in Greater Poland is reached via the A12, the Świecko border crossing and the Polish A2. This section of the A2 is a toll road; whether tolls are included is stated in the respective offer.

Świnoujście and Usedom: approx. 200 km, 2 h 30 min

The seaside resort on the island of Usedom is reached via Szczecin and the S3 expressway or via the German side of the island. The drive to the imperial resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin takes about as long. Simply enter your hotel as the destination; the fixed price is based on the full route.

Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice: approx. 90 km, 1 h

The twin city on the Oder with the European University Viadrina and the Collegium Polonicum is about an hour from BER via the A12. The transfer goes straight to your address on the German or Polish side of the town bridge.

Border, ID and payment

Poland is part of the Schengen area, but temporary checks at the German–Polish border are still possible. Carry a valid passport or national ID card and allow a buffer for the return trip to BER. You pay for the transfer online in euros when booking; no cash in złoty is needed for it. The language the driver speaks can vary by provider; the key pick-up details are in your confirmation.

Who the transfer to Poland is for

For residents of Szczecin and Poznań flying via BER, family visits in western Poland, business travellers to shipyards, logistics firms and trade fairs, and holidaymakers on Usedom. Several travellers share one vehicle price; minibuses for up to 19 passengers are available for groups.

Berlin visitor guide

Which way from BER works best for your trip?

Berlin is spread across many districts. The best option depends on your exact destination, group size, luggage and how much changing or walking you are comfortable with.

Taxi from the rank The final fare generally depends on the applicable taxi tariff and journey. Direct, with the vehicle taken on arrival. Depends on the vehicle available at the rank. Spontaneous journeys when no advance booking is needed.
Public transport Ticket-based; the required ticket depends on the journey. May involve walking or changes depending on the destination. You carry and supervise your own luggage. Solo travellers and visitors travelling light.

Your Berlin address matters

“Berlin centre” can mean very different places. Enter the complete hotel or apartment address, including postcode, rather than only the district name.

Plan around your arrival

Keep your flight number, accommodation address and a reachable mobile number ready. After landing, follow the meeting-point instructions in your booking confirmation.

Good to know: Journey times in Berlin can vary with traffic, time of day and the exact district. If you are travelling to BER for a flight, allow an appropriate buffer in addition to the journey time shown during planning.
