Your flight is today, the train has been cancelled or your planned journey to BER has fallen through? A short-notice airport transfer can be the direct solution. The time of day is not the only factor. Vehicle size, route, luggage and availability determine what can still be booked.

How short-notice can I book a transfer to BER?

For a normal journey with a few passengers, short-notice bookings are often possible. Under two hours, however, availability is often limited. For a minivan, minibus or journeys with special luggage, you should allow considerably more lead time.

What matters is always which vehicle is actually shown and confirmed for your route and your time.

The details you need for a quick booking

So that the transfer can be planned without follow-up questions, provide the pickup address, date and pickup time, destination, flight number on arrival, number of passengers, amount of luggage and any required extras in full.

If important details are missing, a vehicle that is too small may be assigned. That costs time and can be decisive with a short-notice booking.

To BER: do not plan down to the last minute

With a pickup at home, it is not only the pure driving time that counts. Rush-hour traffic, roadworks, rain and road closures can extend the journey. Choose a pickup time with enough margin for check-in, baggage drop-off and the security check.

A fixed transfer takes away the search for parking and the need to change vehicles. You get in at your address and are taken straight to the terminal.

From BER: provide your flight number

For a pickup from the airport, the flight number is particularly important. It allows your arrival to be tracked. You will find the exact meeting point, the driver's contact details and further information in your booking confirmation. After passport control and baggage reclaim, you go to the specified meeting point. This saves time and prevents misunderstandings.

Which vehicles are realistic at short notice?

For one to three people with normal luggage, the choice is usually wider than for groups. For four or more people, a pram, skis, bicycles or several large suitcases, you need a suitable larger vehicle.

It is not the number of seats alone that matters. A vehicle for seven people is not automatically suitable for seven people with seven large suitcases.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still book the transfer on the same day? Yes, provided a vehicle is available. The closer the pickup time, the smaller the choice becomes.

What do I do if my flight is delayed? For a pickup at BER, provide the flight number correctly. The waiting conditions that apply to your booking are stated in the confirmation.

Can I book a minibus at short notice? That depends on availability, route and time of day. For group vehicles, more lead time is advisable.
