Alexanderplatz is a common first stop after landing at BER. There is no single fare that applies to every trip: route, traffic and the type of service affect the total. A useful comparison starts with your exact journey details.

Where is the official taxi rank?

Licensed taxis wait at the north and south ranks outside Terminal 1 on arrivals level E0. From Terminal 2, follow the signed walking route to Terminal 1. Board only a marked taxi at an official rank.

  • Follow the Taxi and Arrivals signs after baggage claim.
  • Ask in advance about child seats, larger vehicles or accessibility needs.

What affects the price to Alexanderplatz?

A metered fare depends on the applicable tariff and the actual journey. Prebooked rides may have separately agreed pricing. Compare offers using the same date, pickup time, destination address, passenger count and luggage details.

  • Check whether a quoted figure is fixed or only an estimate.
  • Check whether waiting time and extras are included.

How long should I allow?

A rough road travel allowance is 35 to 60 minutes, with more time possible during rush hour or roadworks. This is an estimate, not a promise. Allow additional time to leave the aircraft, collect bags and reach the vehicle.

When does a private transfer make sense?

Prebooking can help when travelling as a group, with children or with bulky luggage. Enter the flight number, destination and luggage accurately. The price and terms shown in the booking process govern that particular ride. For a spontaneous journey, use the official taxi rank.

A quick choice

  • No reservation: use the official T1 E0 taxi rank.
  • Prefer a planned vehicle and price: compare a specific transfer quote.
  • Tight schedule: add a buffer for baggage and traffic.
