If your flight changes, inform the transfer provider as early as possible with your booking number and the new flight number. For a pickup from BER, the ride can be reassigned via the new flight number; for a journey to the airport, the new departure time counts. Delay, rebooking or cancellation
With a delay the flight remains, only the time shifts; tracking via the flight number is often enough. With a rebooking the flight number or day changes. With a cancellation the flight is dropped entirely and you usually receive a replacement. Each case needs different details. How pickup works for a pure delay is covered in Flight delay at BER.
Transfer to the airport
If your departure shifts, the right pickup time changes too. Tell the provider the new departure time so the ride can be replanned. For an earlier departure, timely notice is especially important.
Transfer from the airport
If you arrive on a different flight, the new flight number is the key detail. It allows the actual arrival to be tracked. Check the updated confirmation afterwards, as the terminal or meeting point may change. If the arrival day changes, the date must be adjusted as well.
Information the provider needs
Have ready: the booking number, the new flight number, the new arrival or departure day, and the new time. The more complete the details, the easier the rebooking.
Possible extra costs and cancellation terms
Whether a change is free depends on your booking terms and the lead time. Short-notice changes may limit the vehicle class. The applicable terms are in your confirmation and in Questions about payment and cancellation.
Outside business hours
Changes often occur in the evening or at night. Use the contact channels named in your confirmation and send the new flight number in writing, so the information is on record when it is processed.
Frequently asked questions
My flight was cancelled. Do I lose my transfer? Not automatically. Report the change with your booking number and replacement flight; handling follows the booking terms.
I was rebooked onto another flight. Send the new flight number and, if applicable, the new day. For a pickup from BER the ride is reassigned accordingly.
Do I need to act for a short delay? For delays under 30 minutes, the pickup time is normally adjusted automatically. For longer delays, contact the driver using the details in your confirmation.
Are there costs? This depends on lead time and terms. At short notice the choice of vehicles may be smaller.
